The Oris Whale Shark Limited Edition is based on the Oris Aquis GMT diving watch and is made in only 2,016 pieces in memory of the year of the IUCN’s cry of alarm in defense of the whale shark.

Oris, in the wake of its Change for the Better project aimed at protecting the delicate terrestrial ecosystem, presents a watch conceived in defense of the largest creature in the oceans, the magnificent whale shark. The whale shark can grow to the size of a bus while only feeding on small fish. But the future of this fascinating creature is in grave danger. In 2016, according to the IUCN, the world’s whale shark population had halved from 75 years earlier.
